This design for Trade Tower II is reminiscent of the Twin Towers, with a Memorial Park landscape at the site of the original fallen towers, turning this once devastated city block
into a beautiful and useful place for people to visit, reflect, work and live
.

Trade Tower II is a rebuilding of WTC 1 & 2, but the two buildings are joined into a single building, one tower slightly larger than the original, and the other smaller.

The taller "West Tower" is offset from the East Tower "soldier," topped by a golden relief edifice, spiral aerial and color laser.  A Summer Garden points toward Pelli's Winter Garden, the two atriums visually connected by a walkway and arched pedestrian bridge over West Street. A pool runs along the East Building, reflecting etched names of the lost..

Trade Tower II is situated on the corner of  St. Paul's, with access on both the church side and the Hudson River side. The "front door" overlooks the park and is a multistory, stained glass entry hall with outside elevators. While the new structure echoes the original twin tower shapes, art deco updates the facade with color bands, strong verticals, and designed ladders and ledges for extreme escape routes.

The Memorial Park is a large, wooded landscape, protecting the original Tower 1 & 2 footprints.  This peaceful, natural woodland is graced with roses, scented gardens along the pathways, and interesting memorials of all kinds.

To the west of Trade Tower II is a residential skyscraper, and to the south is an office building, both with ground level shops and restaurants. The Metro Station is on the southeast corner, with the WTC Museum directly behind it, forming a natural viewing area, spilling out into a brickyard with fountains. All the buildings are connected by walkways, trams, and people-movers.
Design notes: I am not an architect, so I give permission to any architectural firm to use these ideas to help rebuild this utterly destroyed and unhappy site.
The map was created in Microsoft Paint and the building image entirely in Print Shop. c.Gail C. Gregory 2002  (MacGregor & Dog Ltd are Design Titles)
